There was a cold wind blowing as pupils and teachers from 4th, 5th and 6th classes took to the shore in Enniscrone for our Seashore Safari, but we were wrapped up well and prepared for an eventful afternoon.
We searched for fossils, rocks that rattle (with piddocks), starfish, crabs, fish (goby or blenny?), shrimp, seaweed and anything else we could find. We made towers of stone and were in luck as we managed to avoid the worst of our October weather – although not everyone remained dry!!
Thanks to David Horkan for his expert guidance and we hope we left no trace behind.
