6th Class performed some science experiments with children from Junior Infants to 1st class today, with varying degrees of success – as is always the case with scientific enquiry!!

Experiments included demonstrating thrust using balloons, reacting an acid with a base to explode lunchbags, blow up balloons and create lava in a volcano, making ‘elephant toothpaste’ with an acid and yeast, racing boats using the properties of water tension, the egg drop challenge (demonstrating inertia) and a semi-successful exploding coke!

It was a great afternoon’s education and entertainment and well done to all who participated.
