5/6/2020 – Even before our STEM in the Garden and Kitchen activities this week our students had been busier than ever in those very places! Well done to all our builders, raft builders, lego builders, artists, bakers and gardeners! Next week is our Sports Week – Fingers crossed we get some sun. Well done to the amazing pupils of Corballa National School for all their great work and how well they are working with their families and communities on social distancing and taking care of each other. Together – Apart. It is lovely to see your photographs as the teachers and staff of Corballa NS are missing you, your questions, your stories, your jokes, your music, your songs, your creativity, your artwork, your games, your sporting skills, your fun and laughter and we hope we can see you all again soon. Your teachers have been working hard to make sure you can continue your learning, with the support of your parents, from home and we applaud our dedicated teachers and your wonderful parents too. We are so proud of you all and hope to see you soon! Previous Next Previous Next A very special delivery was made on Thursday 23rd April to the children of 1st class. With the travel restrictions still in place, we were keen to play our part in flattening the curve, but the children of 1st class were in danger of running out of schoolwork!! So in stepped Garda Tighe and Garda McDonnell to save the day – thank you to our local Gardaí for helping us to continue our pupil’s education from a distance. We are all very grateful for your help – we are all in this together! Thank you to Aoibhe, Lorcan and Calvin, Jason and Ciara, Senan and Paddy, Keeva, Conor, Ben, Niall, Aoife, Niamh, Oisin and Clodagh, Ellie, Aoibhinn, Katie, Aoibheann and Oisin, Conan, Rhys, Billy, Kate, Lorcan and Ella for sending us their work, which included cooking dinners, writing debates, drawing maps and pictures, baking Easter cakes, birdwatching, construction of forts, castles and dolls houses, lego building, dinner prep, the turf, planting and much much more!
