Jun 21 Pizza Making! We finally got into the kitchen for our long awaited cookery session. Pizzas were on the menu and once the dough was made and left to rise, we knocked it back, got it stuck all over our hands (some of us), rescued it, rolled it out, topped it with delicious toppings, stuck it in the oven and took advantage of the beautiful weather to eat al fresco! Well done Rang a Sé. Mission accomplished 🍕🍕🍕

Mar 2022 Cycle Right Training We have been busy learning about cycle safety, leading up to our on road training. Thanks to Simon and Pauline of Atlantic Sports Coaching for their fun and informative lessons which covered core bicycle-handling and road-skills such as starting, stopping, balancing, pedalling and cornering, turning left and right with shoulder-checking and signalling, cycling with other cyclists, cycling in a simulated road environment and finally On Road training. We know that these skills, properly applied, will help to keep our cyclists safe on our roads.
Mar 2022 Retreat to Knock We were blessed with beautiful weather for our 5th and 6th Class Retreat to Knock on Monday 21st March with Stokane NS. Thanks to Fr. Kelly for organising the trip. Pupils worked with the Youth Ministry and were brought on a tour of the grounds including the Parish Church dating from 1828, the Basilica with its beautiful architecture and art, the Apparition Chapel and The Chapel of Reconciliation which provided Confessions for those who wished to participate. The museum was also a big hit, as was the shop in the restaurant, and we were able to enjoy the beauty of the grounds and gardens, given the beautiful weather. A visit comes highly recommended. We had a great day and were just home in time for the bus!
Oct 2021 We had a very informative and interesting Webinar from Frances at the Observatory in Blackrock Castle, Cork about Space Weather and it’s effects for Space Week 2021. We learned all about how the solar stream interacts with the the earth’s magnetic field to produce amazing auroras in the polar regions, sometimes extending down as far as us here in Ireland, and during major solar events, as far south as Spain! We recreated some of the amazing night scenes in our art class this week. Beautiful work 5th and 6th Class
